Melissa Canter is a physician assistant with a passion for helping others. She has focused on Family Medicine throughout her career. Melissa strives to develop strong relationships with patients to better understand their health needs and goals, and develop a plan to achieve their optimal state of health. Educating patients on their health conditions and emphasizing preventative care is a top priority.

After graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Melissa went on to receive a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2005.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys running, traveling, scuba-diving, and spending time with her husband, twin boys and daughter.
